Easy On The Eyes O'BJ

Meet Easy!  She was "pretty easy" to name... A stand-out from the time she was able to stand and pose.  Perfect balance, short back and strong topline even at the tender age of 7 weeks as pictured here. She wasn't the least bit upset by being posed up on a little table.  When I saw the photos I quipped that she was "easy on the eyes" and the name stuck.

Easy's sire is Rolex Right O'BJ (left).  You can see where she gets her perfect structure and faultless balance. Rolex is small (6 lb 7 oz) but packed with solid muscle and Toy Fox Terrier personality.

Her mother Sucha Girl O'BJ (right) is 6 lbs 2 oz and it's all brains! She has beautiful expression, perfect ears set high on the head and her dark eyes sparkle with lively intelligence. 

Easy brings together the strong, close-coupled body of her sire and her mother's incredible intelligence.

Easy is 15 months old in these candid photos taken June 2018. 

I was breeding two of my other girls when Easy came into season. To skip her first adult estrus would mean having a winter litter and I had promised myself I would never do that again. Long story short, I had a disasterous whelping problem (Trudy) with roads iced over, no way to get to a vet... saved mom and one baby but lost the rest of the litter.

I decided to compromise and turn it over to Fate.  I bred Easy to U-Gene, (my Hugely son) just once, thinking she'll probably miss... Sucha must have passed on those good reproductive genes because at 4 weeks I can already tell she's pregnant, puppies due July 12th.

The photos above were just some "fun" snapshots Denise took as I was throwing the ball and playing with them.  I'm glad she did because now it is too late to take "posed" and "pretty" photos.  I'm always excited about new babies but this litter will be a special genetic combination, preserving extraordinary structure and health, plus the unique intelligence of a breed known for agreeable, intuitive understanding.
